 Tara McClendon is a Colorado-based freelance writer and editor with a degree in English from Abilene Christian University. She currently works as an independent contractor for Writers Research Group.
McClendon writes and provides copy editing for search engine optimized (SEO) Internet guides and articles and uses both AP and Chicago styles.You can see her work with bylines at Work.com and LIVESTRONG.com. Her specialties include SEO web content, children's books, young adult novels, fanatasy/sci-fi and spiritual works. In addition to working as an editor for Inspiration for Writers, McClendon is the acting Marketing Director for the company. She is also a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators (SCBWI). Tara has been a great help to me as a new writer. She has a fantastic understanding of the fantasy/adventure genre. My writing background is mostly scientific, so fiction is a departure from my usual genre. Tara is very savvy about helping me learn the craft involved in writing for this audience. She's quick to pinpoint the things that need to be changed in order to make the story better.
