Wendy Chorot

Wendy ChorotWendy Chorot has been an editor for several years, working full-time for Inspiration for Writers, Inc. since 2004. Her special interests are children's and young adult novels (including fantasy), Christian fiction and nonfiction, commercial fiction, political and historical fiction, tell-alls, and memoirs. Her children's stories have won awards and been published in literary journals. Although she grew up in Kansas City, Wendy now lives in the beautiful French Alps. There's nothing like looking out the window on a cool morning over a cup of chicory and seeing the majestic Alps to start a day right.

"Wendy's editing is awesome! I'm so happy because now my story sounds the way I imagined it in my mind but couldn't quite manage to say on my own. I liked how you snipped and clipped and polished the scenes--those multiple deletes have liberated my soul! I also liked the way you place the recipe for the orange at the end of the story, rather than in the middle, and making the orange scene at the end tie in nicely with the cooking scene. You don't miss a thing, girl. And your comments are motivating. Thanks for being such a consistent, on-the-ball editor."
~ Reem Said, Ontario, Canada

"Not only did Wendy clean up my work with a professional and perceptive touch, she helped spruce up my writing by gently offering tips and articles on how to advance my skills. She's a class act; someone I look forward to working with again."
~ Russell Victorian, former newspaper publisher and author of Yellow Knife

"Besides helping me improve my writing craft, Wendy's been an inspiration to me.  I'd be lost without her."

~ Alexandra Blake

"Wendy, I would be so hopeless in my writing life without your wisdom and goodness.  You have taken my cake and frosted it with goodness.  Now I just need God to light the candles."

~ Joseph Silvestro, author of Baltasar Bane and the Rise of the Star Prince: The Quest for Life
