Meet the Editors

Wendy Chorot
Wendy Chorot has been an editor for several years, working full-time for Inspiration for Writers since 2004. Her special interests are children's and young adult novels (including fantasy), Christian fiction and nonfiction, commercial fiction, political and historical fiction, tell-alls, and memoirs. Her children's stories have won awards and been published in literary journals. Mom to a 5-year-old, 14-year-old, and 20-year-old, she's married to a Frenchman, so although she grew up in Kansas City, she now lives in the beautiful French Alps. There's nothing like looking out the window on a cool morning over a cup of chicory and seeing the majestic Alps to start a day right.

As a published author I depend on Wendy to be my extra pair of eyes. She sees what I don’t. Right now, she’s helping me with a Victorian romance called Elegance and Grace. She provides the elegance and grace needed to write good prose. I’d be lost without her. Thank you, Wendy!~ Alexandra Blake

Not only did Wendy clean up my work with a professional and perceptive touch, she helped spruce up my writing by gently offering tips and articles on how to advance my skills. She's a class act; someone I look forward to working with again. ~ Russell Victorian, former newspaper publisher and author of Yellow Knife.

Rhonda White
Rhonda Browning White resides near Orlando, Florida with her husband Randy and son Jacob, after retiring from 20+ years in the medical field to follow her dream of writing. Her work has appeared in WV Executive, Mountain Voices, Thrive, Gambit, The Seeker, Mountain Echoes: The Best of the First Year, Bluestone Review, Justus Roux, in the literary anthologies Seeking the Swan and Mountain Voices: Illuminating the Character of West Virginia, and in newspapers across several states. She has received numerous awards for her prose and poetry, including an award for her first novel, Birthright. Rhonda has edited a wide variety of published books and professional papers, ranging from thrillers and romance novels to children’s books, university textbooks and doctorate dissertations.

When my manuscript was returned, it was clear Rhonda had poured over every page with a diligent eye and ear. I am now progressing on to the next phase--character development, overarching themes and the well-needed reminder of basic formatting rules. The assistance provided by Rhonda was instrumental in taking me from the ourpouring phase of writing to a structured, goal-oriented mode. I'm thrilled. ~ Lisa Dekis, author, Dreams of Igor

Rhonda took the vision I had for my manuscript and edited it so that everything I had hoped to create was right before my eyes. I was so excited to see my dreams of Faith Town be born, and it happened because of Rhonda. I wouldn't have any problem highly recommending her. ~Cindy Tuttle, author of Joyful Surrender

My first piece of writing was critiqued by Sandi Rog, and that was the
beginning of my writing life. She introduced me to a world of writing I'd
never known before. Sandi has encouraged me, advised me and taught me, all while giving thorough, concise and honest critiques of my work. I don't know where I'd be without her. ~ Karin A. Lovold, author, Chicken Soup for the Soul, A Cup of Comfort

She lives in West Virginia with her husband Butch and her youngest daughter Stacy. Her oldest daughter Roxanne is married and lives in Manassas, Virginia. Her middle daughter Pam is a student at Marshall University.

After a lot of research in the market, I decided to mail Sandy my novel to proof and critique. What she sent back two weeks later stunned me. Not only had she ferreted out numerous pesky errors that my diligent friends had missed, but she also provided a wealth of insightful commentary. This may be a talent other editors possess, but the positive and sensitive way in which Sandy did this work makes her a stand-out in a very competitive field. I can think of no better name for her business than Inspiration for Writers. ~ Tim Newman, BC, Canada, author, Yesterday's Falcon

I shopped for an editor much the same as I would shop for a car: I got samples from several editors. Sandy’s work stood out. Her enthusiasm caught my attention right away, but it was what she brought to my story that determined my choice. She went a step beyond all of the others. She brought a personal interest to my story, making detailed suggestions that resonated with my vision of the work. She treated my work in a sensitive and thorough manner, ferreting out mistakes that many critique partners had missed. With so many ruthless individuals out there preying on inexperienced writers, it is nice to find someone with Sandy’s integrity. Her service offers value beyond what you will find elsewhere. ~ Sherry Wilson, Ontario, Canada, author, Recipe for Adventure
